Safety Harness Level 2

The Level 2 Safety Harness course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely use, inspect and maintain safety harnesses when working at height.

It is suitable for individuals working in construction, maintenance, utilities and other industries where fall protection is essential.

This course focuses on the correct selection, fitting and use of harness systems, as well as understanding the risks associated with working at height.

Learners will develop an awareness of relevant health and safety legislation and the importance of following safe systems of work. Throughout the training, emphasis is placed on pre-use inspections, identifying defects,  and ensuring equipment is suitable for the task. Learners will also gain an understanding of anchor points, lanyards and fall arrest systems, as well as  how to minimise risks to themselves and others.

On successful  completion, learners will have the confidence and competence to use safety harness equipment correctly, helping to reduce the risk of falls and ensure safe working practices when working at height.
