The roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

Assessing incidents and primary/secondary surveys

CPR (including use of AED defibrillator) for adults

Recovery position and unresponsive casualty care

Management of choking, bleeding, and shock

Treatment of burns, fractures, and dislocation

Medical emergencies (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, diabetes, asthma)

Minor and major injury management

Recording/reporting incidents (aligned with RIDDOR)

Infection control, workplace health risks, and legal duties
