Course overview
Supporting those experiencing poor mental health has become a key priority for individuals and organisations alike. As awareness of mental health continues to grow, so does the need for trained Mental Health First Aiders who can provide support, guidance, and reassurance to those in need.
This nationally recognised 2-day course is designed to develop a deeper understanding of common mental health issues and equip learners with the skills and confidence to respond appropriately. Mental Health First Aiders play a vital role in promoting positive wellbeing and helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health in the UK.
Throughout the course, learners will gain the knowledge and practical tools needed to support others effectively within the workplace and wider community.
On completion, learners will be able to confidently promote positive mental health and provide appropriate support to colleagues and others in need.

Defining mental health and well-being, the mental health continuum, and factors affecting mental health.
Duties and responsibilities of a mental health first aider, including maintaining personal wellbeing.
Identifying signs and symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-harm, eating disorders, and suicide risk.
Techniques for approaching, assessing, and supporting employees, including active listening and non-judgmental communication.
Identifying workplace stress indicators, implementing mental health policies, and supporting returns to work.
Providing immediate assistance for mental health crises.
Directing individuals toward professional help and internal resources.

Cancellation within 10 working days of scheduled course date: Full fee payable
Cancellation within 11 to 15 working days of scheduled course date: 50% of course fee payable
Cancellation within 16 to 20 working days of scheduled course date: 25% of course fee payable
Cancellation at least 21 or more working days ahead of scheduled course date: No fee

Yes. Please bring valid photo ID (driving liscence, passport) with you when you attend any course with us.
For practical and face-to-face courses, wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear if it is needed. We'll confirm any specific requirements when you book.
Yes. All our courses include certification from the relevant accrediting body.
You'll receive your certificate either printed or digitally soon after successfully completing your course with us.
Please note that the time it takes to receive your certificate can vary from course to course due to the range of accrediting bodies we work with.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances you need to transfer to an alternative course date, please contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to book you in for your training on an alrenative date.

Reschedule within 5 working days of scheduled course date: Full fee payable
Reschedule within 6 to 15 working days of scheduled course date: 50% of course fee payable
Reschedule within 16 to 20 working days of scheduled course date: 25% of course fee payable
