Mental Health
Our mental health courses deliver the skills needed to understand, recognise and effectively support those struggling with mental health issues – helping to create safer, more productive workplaces.

Mental health support in the workplace is essential for both employee wellbeing and organisational success. In the UK, employers have a legal duty under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 to protect not only the physical health of employees, but their mental health as well.
With around 1 in 6 workers experiencing mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, or depression at any given time, providing appropriate support is more important than ever. Poor mental health can lead to reduced productivity, increased levels of absence, and higher staff turnover, all of which can have a significant impact on business performance.
The Health and Safety Executive highlights that work-related stress, depression, and anxiety account for a large proportion of workplace ill health, resulting in millions of lost working days each year. By proactively supporting mental health, employers can reduce these risks while creating amore positive and resilient workforce.
Implementing mental health training, appointing mental health first aiders, and fostering an open and supportive culture can make a significant difference. Not only does this help businesses meet their legal responsibilities, but it also encourages employees to feel valued, supported, and more confident in seeking help when they need it.
Investing in mental health support is not just a legal or moral obligation—it’s a vital part of building a safe, productive, and thriving workplace.
